named Joe Biden and Kamala Harris its 2020 People of the Year.

The two made history on November 7 when they beat Donald Trump in a tough election that put him in a small club of presidents who only served one term.

Harris that day became the first woman, the first black and the first person of South Asian origin to be elected vice president.

"For changing American history, for showing that the forces of empathy outweigh the fury of division, for sharing a vision of healing in a grieving world, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are TIME's 2020 Person of the Year" wrote
