Portugal today announced 95 new deaths from the Coronavirus, the highest daily toll since the start of the pandemic, as countries across the European continent struggle to contain the second wave of infection.
And the Portuguese health authorities indicated that 5,080 new cases of the virus were recorded, bringing the total number of cases to 340,287 cases, while the total number of deaths reached 5,373 deaths.
The state of emergency came into effect nationwide to combat the spread of the virus on Monday, and it is scheduled to continue until the 23rd of this month, but it is possible to extend it.
