After ten months of epidemic, Israel this week received the corona vaccines along with five other countries around the world, and will begin vaccinating the medical staff on December 20, after receiving FDA approval and passing the Israeli standard.

However, senior officials in the health care system express concern that the main problem will be the public’s unresponsiveness to the vaccine and fear of a situation where supply exceeds demand.

The Ministry of Health and the HMOs will soon begin campaigns to encourage the vaccine, which will be specific to each sector and will be accessible in several languages such as Arabic, Russian and Amharic.

The fear of the vaccine can also come in the form of "hitchhikers", as defined by the Ministry of Health, with many giving up the vaccine but relying on the majority of the population to be vaccinated instead.

The ministry intends to combat the phenomenon with the help of the green passport, which will give the vaccinated people options such as entering cultural events and flights without inspections.

A survey conducted among the medical staffs to respond to the vaccine at one of the funds, shows that only 50% responded that they are ready to receive the vaccine.

A similar number emerged in a survey conducted among medical staff at Sheba Hospital in Tel Hashomer.

The survey also shows that men want to get the vaccine more than women and the older the man, the higher his response to the vaccine, when there is a jump from the age of 50 and up.

90% of survey respondents claimed that they believe the media reports about the vaccine.

Because Israel is one of five other countries in total that are beginning to vaccinate the population, the documentation of the data is extremely important and can affect the entire world.

So the funds are preparing to bind the data and pass it on to the Ministry of Health quickly so that if there is a problem we can know it very quickly.

The HMOs will be the main factor that will vaccinate the population, but the Home Front Command will be backed up if the HMOs reach insufficiency due to winter illness or a higher-than-expected response.

As part of the logistical preparations for the vaccination campaign, Israel also succeeded in defeating Pfizer's complex logistics.

The company's vaccine comes in a tray of a thousand vaccines, and from the moment the tray is opened it should be finished within five days and vaccinated a thousand people - 200 every day.

This logistics has caused the UK to give up vaccination in the small nursing homes as there are not enough people there and the vaccine may go bad.

A better solution has been found in Israel - and that is to split the vaccine trays, which are stored in Teva Shoham's giant refrigerators, into trays of 50, 65 and 250 vaccines, so that the vaccines can reach even the most remote places and cover even small nursing homes, without compromising the quality of the vaccine.

Splitting the trays makes it very easy for Israel because it will be possible to reach small communities in the Bedouin diaspora, Judea and Samaria and the Arava with mobility.

The box offices have already been prepared to reach them by special vehicles.

The Ministry of Health will move the trays to key points around the country and from there they will be transferred to the cash registers.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that the funds will begin vaccinating the population on December 27, but the HMOs have not been updated on the rate of vaccinations after the first round.

The vaccines will be provided according to the size of the fund, but their heads have not yet been updated on the date of arrival of the next rounds of vaccines and their quantity.

The information is needed by the funds to prepare for the complex logistical operation.
