As allowed earlier in the publication, Esther Horgan is the woman whose body was found tonight in the Reihan forest with signs of violence on it.

The background to the incident is not yet known, and the police are currently examining all directions of the investigation - including murder on a nationalist background.

Police and forensic investigators were called to the scene and began collecting findings and conducting investigative actions.

According to a preliminary investigation of the incident, Horgan went for a run in the forest near her residence, where she was allegedly murdered.

Police said that following a report received tonight about Horgan's absence, in the evening, volunteers from the Samaria-Jordan Valley Rescue Unit of the SJ District Police jumped in to search for the woman, but after hours of searching, the unit's volunteers found the missing woman late at night. The scanning teams, including the Samaria Rescue Unit, volunteers from nearby localities, Rabshakehs, army and police scanning teams began searching for her. At around 1:00 at night, she was found lifeless.

MDA paramedics who arrived at the scene found Horgan's death at the scene. Assaf Tapuhi, an MDA paramedic who arrived at the scene, said: "When we arrived, we were taken to a place where a 52-year-old woman was lying unconscious. We performed medical tests, she was breathless. "Without a pulse and without any signs of life and in a short time we had to determine her death."
