In a televised statement, he noted that they ban the entry of non-resident foreigners who have been to the UK in the past two weeks.

Peruvian citizens or resident foreigners who have visited the United Kingdom in the last two weeks must serve a fourteen-day quarantine.

He clarified that these measures are preventive in nature.

"In no way do we seek to generate a situation of concern among citizens," said Sagasti.

He added that no direct flights from the United Kingdom have entered since the country's air borders were reopened.

He stated that passengers who have arrived on connecting flights are being monitored by the Ministry of Health.
