In the afternoon, the Hospital Authority announced the death of two confirmed patients.
A 63-year-old male patient with a long-term illness (Case No. 6153) was admitted to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for treatment on November 27 due to a stroke. He was diagnosed afterwards. The patient's condition continued to deteriorate and he left at 11:13 am today.
In addition, an 89-year-old female patient with terminal illness in United Christian Hospital (Case No.: 8545) was admitted to the hospital for treatment on December 24 due to shortness of breath. She was subsequently diagnosed and the patient’s condition continued to deteriorate. She was separated at 4:58 pm today. world.
The hospital feels sorry for the death of the patient and will provide appropriate assistance to the family.
According to data, the female deceased with the number 8545 belonged to the 2D ward group of United Christian Hospital. As of December 29, there were 19 confirmed cases in this group. They were 12 patients and 7 health care workers who were infected, aged between 20 and 92 years old.
