In August 2018, the Argentine Parliament debated the legalization of abortion for the first time.

At the time, Senator Gladys González was pregnant with her fourth child.

"I want it with all my heart," he said.

González is a practicing Catholic, but, at the same time, she had publicized her decision to vote in favor of the proposal.

He then received hundreds of threatening messages.

"We are going to pray that you go to hell," they told him.

"God is going to punish you."

Two days after voting, González lost her pregnancy ....
