Combat gathering fighters have been deployed for the first time in history on the Lebanese border, the most explosive border in the State of Israel today, to carry out accurate intelligence gathering using skimmers, a capability that was not previously on the widely stretched border.

So far, the IDF has refrained from introducing a force of fighters to the explosive border.

"We are a force multiplier in the sector. No one knows how to use skimmers in the area, certainly not at our level, so we are considered a highly sought-after force," said Lt. Nurit Rokach, the new sailing commander.

A source in the Northern Command clarifies that this is indeed a force that is changing the face of the sector: "The fighters know how to use the technological means in an excellent way, and we trust them with our eyes closed."

The officers and fighters on the ground are well aware that they have publicly broken a glass dome, but on the inside, they say - there is no difference between them and the fighting men.

"It does not occupy us on a daily basis," says Rokach, adding: "The collection fighters and the combat fighters will give the initial response in real time, so we must act in two ways - give an intelligence response as well as an initial response on the ground.

The skimmer company is inside the "Adir" company, which has been operating on the Lebanese border for eight months.

"This is an authority in the sector," explains the company commander, Capt. Barak Choi. "In recent months, we have doubled our toolbox with new and varied capabilities, including skimmers."

Choi clarifies that the entry of the fighters does not harm the operational in any way.

"It does not come at the expense of operational and vice versa - sailing meets an operational need."

Sergeant Major Moore is already a veteran fighter and serving in the field for the past year, including several months in the new faction.

For her, it is a mission: "We do everything to get to know the area and the enemy in the best way - and to meet the needs at the highest level required in the area."
