Whether tobogganing, skiing or hiking: Despite the Corona warning, many Munich residents are drawn from the city to the mountains. Some residents are anything but enthusiastic about it.

Whether tobogganing, skiing or hiking: Despite the Corona warning, many Munich residents are drawn from the city to the mountains.

Some residents are anything but enthusiastic about it.

  • Despite

    lockdown

    and

    corona virus

: Snow and sun attract many visitors to the mountains.

  • But

    drivers

    with a

    Munich license plate

    do not only find

    hospitality here.

  • The

    corona virus

    seems to

    additionally fuel the

    hatred of Munich

    in Bavaria's excursion destinations.

Update from January 3, 2021: Miesbach

- where the

excursion traffic

jams

on nice days

, strangers had

placed

a large-format

sign

shortly before the turn of the year

.

It shows a

finger

under a

Munich license plate

, above it the sentence

“We don't want you”

and an expression that is not ready for printing.

In addition, the crude request: "Stay there where it's high".

The

police

quickly collected the sign with the dirty inscription.

Shortly before the turn of the year, on Thursday, December 31, around noon, officers from the Miesbach police station removed the sign from its

location

on the

roundabout at the entrance to Miesbach

.

Up until then it had been photographed umpteen times.

The

hate sign spread

like a

wildfire

via

Facebook

,

Instagram

and

What'sApp

.

Miesbach: Hatred against Munich has reached new heights - police report against unknown persons

Hundreds of comments were written in a flash.

They range from

indignation to approval,

the emotions boil up.

It is the

culmination of

a development that began with the first

lockdown

and continues to sharpen the formation of fronts.

“But you can't master the situation, which is certainly difficult,” warns Miesbach's mayor, Gerhard Braunmiller.

The

shield action

is "in no way acceptable" to him.

He appeals to reason, says the mayor.

It is important to show consideration for one another.

And he understands that

those looking

for

relaxation

are

pushed

to the mountains and the snow.

He wanted the public order office to remove the sign.

But there it was already in the courtyard of the local police.

It is not yet known who put it at the roundabout.

According to the police,

criminal proceedings are

already

underway

against unknown persons.

On the one hand, because it is generally not allowed to put a sign on the street without a permit.

On the other hand, because of the offensive content of the message.

"This is how you stir up hatred,"

says a police spokesman.

The public prosecutor's office is examining the process, the

search for the authors is

ongoing.

Mayor and district council appalled at message of hate to all Munich residents: "This is how you stir up hatred"

Not only in Miesbach is the

hate message

to all Munich

residents causing an

uproar.

Josef Bogner, chairman of the Rottacher Verkehrsverein and FW district council, made his indignation

air

in a

statement

yesterday, Sunday

.

He was appalled by the "now reached level of

hostility

in our district towards day guests and their families in

Corona times,

" explains Bogner and is surprised at positive online comments on the shield campaign: "What kind of society are we if we do something like that for good? "

Such “welcome tables”, according to the innkeeper, are not only an

insult to day visitors

, but also to everyone who has established a relationship in the

tourism business

.

Bogner reports that he still has to deal with guests on a daily basis.

They wanted, "like us," to

offer their children a reasonably normal life

in the

great outdoors

.

“Everything else is difficult enough anyway.

School at home, no kindergarten, home office, short-time work - and that's why people are worried, ”says Bogner.

Hate message to "M" license plate: Unknown Miesbachers start counter-offensive

And as always, most of the citizens obeyed all regulations, in this case the

hygiene regulations

.

"Because of a few individual idiots, you don't have to put the whole region

under '

M'

under 'stinky fingers'", warns the Rottacher.

After all, the district has lived quite well from its guests for decades.

Incidentally, there are citizens who

ignore

all the rules in the

Corona period

, even in the district enough: "Unfortunately."

The

message of hate

had already disappeared when strangers

placed

a hearty

counter-offensive

at the same point

.

A wooden heart with the inscription:

"Community counts ... no exclusion."

The heart greeted locals and day trippers until noon on Sunday.

Then the Miesbach police removed this sign as well.

Because it is not allowed to

simply place

posters

or the like on the street - even if the

message

fits.

Whirl around the rush of visitors in the Oberland: Sign with hate message appeared - a clear indication for Munich residents

First report from January 2, 2021:

Miesbach - It could hardly be

clearer

: A

huge middle finger

adorns the self-made sign at the entrance to

Miesbach

, Upper Bavaria.

In a license plate of the

city

of Munich

and a clear appeal: "An ol stodara,

bleibts dahoam

wos hi gherts and blockierts ned ois her flawless idis." For all Munich without Bavarian-end levels there is still a High German: "

Piss off!

We don't want you ...

”afterwards.

The trigger: Despite exit restrictions, numerous day-trippers are currently overrunning the Alpine region *, including in the Miesbach district.

Already during the holidays,

District Administrator

Olaf von Löwis

sent

a desperate SMS to Prime Minister Markus Söder *: “Dear Markus, I don't like to annoy you via SMS,” wrote Löwis, “But

day tourism

is getting out of hand with us

.

It really burns. ”Among other things, there were concerns about the

police

and

regulatory authorities

.

Many day trippers do not even think about adhering to the corona protective measures *.

The eternal hatred of Munich: does Corona make everything worse?

- Hostile visitors to the Oberland

In

any case

, many residents of particularly popular

excursion destinations

such as

Miesbach

are not in

favor of

visiting

Munich

.

Hikers

,

tobogganists

and

skiers

clog the roads every year and cause miles of traffic jams, numerous accidents and garbage.

With Corona, the problem seems to multiply:

Accident victims

* threaten to end up in the already overcrowded

emergency rooms

and because of the restrictions, not even all

lift operators

or

restaurants

benefit

from the unwanted rush of visitors.

For some, this apparently leads to a real

hatred of Munich

.

Signs have already been put up, visitors with a

Munich license plate

insulted *.

In Garmisch-Partenkirchen, a new citizen even reports that he was attacked solely because of his registration number *.

Extreme reactions

, which are probably also due to the general

dissatisfaction of

the

population

in the current situation.

To

set out in Miesbach sign

many respond exasperated.

A Twitter user commented: “And never go to Munich to go shopping ...

this divisive attitude is annoying.

“It is clear that only mutually

respectful behavior

can perhaps end the eternal dispute at some point. In any case, this also includes observing the corona protective measures * - so behave yourself!
