Police today (Sunday) opened an investigation on suspicion of throwing a stun grenade at the home of Or Yehuda Mayor Liat Shochat.
Mesubim police officers began searching for the perpetrator, along with collecting findings at the scene.
Police said there were no casualties and no property damage was caused in the incident, and the circumstances of the case are still being investigated.
"We will cross a serious red line here that cannot be crossed for the agenda," Shochat notes.
"I trust the law enforcement agencies and look forward to a speedy investigation that will lead to the apprehension of those actually responsible."
