Teitel, a woman in her 30s, was driving the family car with two of her children, ages 15 and 11, unharmed.

An IDF force launched a pursuit of stone-throwing suspects and surrounded the nearby village of Deir Nizam, in the area of the Ephraim Territorial Brigade.

Dr. Yoram Klein, director of the Trauma and Critical Surgery Unit at Sheba Medical Center, spoke about the condition of the wounded woman at a press briefing.

"She came to us in critical condition, with a significant head injury," Dr. Klein said.

"In the coming hours, we will consider whether to operate on her, depending on her condition and the results that will come from the imaging tests. She is currently conscious, and still a little agitated. I received the details from MDA staff about the circumstances of her injury.

I have not talked to her about the incident yet, because when she arrived at the trauma room, her condition could not be asked many questions. "
