President Donald Trump pressured Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger to "seek" votes to overturn the election results after his loss to President-elect Biden, according to an audio recording of a phone call obtained. by The Washington Post.
In excerpts from the surprising one-hour phone call on Saturday, Trump lashed out at his fellow Republican for refusing to falsely claim he won the Georgia election and repeatedly touting unsubstantiated claims of voter fraud.
“The people of Georgia are angry, the people of the country are angry.
And there's nothing wrong with saying that, you know, um, you've recalculated, ”Trump said in an excerpt from the call.
Raffensperger replied, "Well, Mr. President, the difficulty you have is that the data you have is incorrect."

In another excerpt, Trump stated: “Look.
All I want to do is this.
I just want to find 11,780 votes, which is one more than we have.
Because we won the state.
The White House, the Trump campaign and White House Secretary General Mark Meadows did not immediately respond to a request for comment from the Post.
The White House declined to comment with CNN.

CNN has reached out to Raffensperger.
The Post also reported that Meadows, attorney Cleta Mitchell and other Republican allies of the president were also on the call.
Trump tweeted Sunday that he spoke to Raffensperger by phone in an attempt to convince him to investigate unfounded conspiracy theories about the November election.
According to Trump, Raffensperger refused to do so.
Raffensperger later responded to Trump in a tweet: “Respectfully, President Trump, what you are saying is not true.
