Central African President Faustin Archange Touadéra is re-elected in the first round of the presidential election on December 27, the Electoral Commission announced on Monday, delivering results which must be officially validated by the Constitutional Court after possible appeals.

Mr. Touadéra having obtained the absolute majority with (...) 53.92% is declared elected
", declared to the press Mathias Morouba, president of the National Election Authority (ANE), the body in charge of the organization of the poll.
