The Syrian ambassador to Tehran, Dr. Shafiq Dayoub and the head of the Research Center in the Iranian Islamic Consultative Assembly, Dr. Ali Reza Zakani, discussed ways to strengthen cooperation relations between the two countries and promote them in various fields.
During the meeting, Ambassador Diop stressed the need to strengthen scientific, economic and cultural relations, noting the existing cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries, expressing his hope that this cooperation will be stronger and more comprehensive in various fields and the continuation of the exchange of visits for the benefit and interest of the peoples of the two countries.
He said that the future of the region will be decided through the cooperation of the axis of the resistance front, stressing the need to strengthen the roots and constants of the resistance in all areas.
Zakani, in turn, reaffirmed his country's continued support for the Syrian people and the research center's readiness to place all research expertise and achievements at the disposal of the People's Assembly, indicating the potentials, energies and areas of cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries, especially in the period of reconstruction of what has been destroyed by terrorism in Syria.
Zakani stressed the need for the United States to leave the region and said that the response and revenge for the assassination of Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani is America's departure from the region and getting rid of its arrogance.
