The number of new cases of Coronavirus in the United States of America increased to 26 million 631 thousand and 311 cases after 116003 new infections were recorded, according to a new toll published today by the American World Meters website.
According to the site run by developers and operators, the total number of deaths due to the virus rose to 449,910 cases after 2,418 people died during the past twenty-four hours.
California recorded the largest number of cases among the US states, followed by Texas, Florida and New York.
The United States continues to lead the countries most affected by the virus and has the most cases and deaths in the world, with more than 25 percent of the number of infections in the world and nearly 20 percent of global deaths.
