Sad mission for the fire brigades in Finsing, Erding and Oberneuching as well as the local water rescue groups in Erding and Munich Land: On Saturday morning they recovered the body of a woman from the Middle Isar Canal.
Finsing - Witnesses discovered the body on the rake of the Finsing power station.
"The operation turned out to be laborious because of driftwood on the rake, which had to be removed first," reports water rescue operations manager Edgar Scholz.
The woman had been in the water for a long time.
The Kripo Erding has taken over the determination of the identity and the course of the accident.
