The plane of Ecuadorian President Lenín Moreno had to make an emergency landing on Saturday, January 30 in Washington where he was completing an official visit, but everyone
"is fine"
, said his Minister of Communication.
Besides the president, several ministers of the government of Quito were on board.

"The presidential plane experienced a technical problem shortly after takeoff from Washington DC forcing it to make an emergency landing
," she said in a statement.
"Moreno and all the occupants of the plane are fine and will return to Ecuador in the next few hours,"
she added.
During his visit, President Moreno held talks with officials in the Biden administration, as well as with IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva.
The IMF approved in September an aid plan for this country of 6.5 billion dollars.
