Sharafat for poetry and culture, a new book by the poet Abdul Karim Al-Naem, which monitors phenomena present in the contemporary Arab poem, especially in its operative style, where it is exposed to the poetic form and its rhythm depending on the uniqueness of aesthetic images.

Although the content of the book took a suitable form for publication in the media, Abdul Karim systematically defended the psychological expressive aesthetic value of weight and rhythm and exposed some cultural joints that are in contact with issues of conscience, truth, goodness and beauty.

Al-Naem did not go to annul any party in the literary movement, but rather defended its existence in an applied and documented manner through the genres and literary forms that he presented through which he was able to combine originality and contemporary and present them to the intellectual to create a structural link between what is prevalent and those who seek culture.

Also in the book are articles on poetry, culture and the relationship between them that may reach the point of necessity with a set of visions, looks and opinions that deal with form and rhythm with its psychological, aesthetic and expressive value, leaving room for the prose poem and the questions, debates and disputes around it.

In his book, Al-Naem discussed various topics related to criticism, including the legitimacy of what is not legal, and where lies the crisis of poetry and the dilemma of poetic criticism accompanying modernity, creativity and the relationship of culture to conscience.

The author did not neglect the talk about the repercussions of the terrorist war on Syria regarding the cultural scene and the emergence of names and cases far from real creativity, especially those promoted by the media aggression machine, in addition to the low literary standards adopted by a number of platforms.

The book issued by the Syrian General Authority for the Book was a summary of the acquaintance and knowledge of a poet and critic who adopts the comprehensive literary culture and conscious perception of types of literature based on a feeling indicative of an innate talent that enables the book to present its material in an honest and spontaneous manner.

Abdul Karim Al-Naem, one of the important names in the contemporary poetic movement, writes poetry and criticism, and publishes criticism in newspapers and periodicals, as well as the literary, social, political and intellectual angle, and has so far published 27 poetry collections and 3 books on theoretical and applied criticism.
