Hummus-Sana
Under the title “Love of the homeland brings us together” and in the midst of a cultural presence, the Cultural Center in Homs hosted a poetry festival, a celebration of lyrical, patriotic, spoken and lyrical poems.
The festival, which was held by the Al-Bayariq Cultural Forum, the poet Saber Ibrahim, began with patriotic poems that revealed the spirit of spinning “Nostalgia of the Soul”, “The Voice of Nostalgia” and “Some Thanks for the Wing of Rhymes” in which he valued the meanings of martyrdom and giving for the sake of the homeland's pride.
The voice of pride rose in the poem “I am the Syrian” by the poet “Sherif Qassem,” as he called in his poem “Close the ranks” of the people of the same nation to hold together and stand together in the face of every conspiring enemy.
The poetry spoken with its lyrical tone was present in the poems of the poet Median Rahal, which was dominated by a flirtatious character, while the poet “Zainab Nofal” sang her poem “Palmyra” about the desert paradise and the Al-Baida oasis, the nobility of its effects, the authenticity of its history and its beauty that intruders failed to distort.
The poet Haitham Al-Masry concluded the first day of the festival with two poems “The Theology of Love”, addressing the beloved to smile. In her two peels, the spring of his heart and soul, and the poem “On Hell,” which came in the form of a spiritual dialogue between two lovers taking place in the sky after the departure of the beloved.
Saber Ibrahim, director of the Al-Bayariq Cultural Forum, explained in a statement to SANA that the forum includes a group of poets from different governorates who brought them together with patriotism and spread the message of love and peace for a safe country free from terrorism, pointing out that the forum was launched a year and a half ago by 6 poets and has now reached more than 30 poets, artists, singers and craftsmen whose artistic activities range from poetry, singing, painting and sculpture.
