The young woman arrested for kidnapping a 6-year-old boy from a vacation colony in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Caballito was investigated by the judge in charge of the investigation and will continue to be imprisoned.
Jazmín Felioga (25) was investigated this Saturday by the National Correctional and Criminal Judge Number 14, María Provitola, who charged her with the crime of "illegitimate deprivation of liberty."
Although the content of the statement was not disclosed, a judicial spokesperson with access to the file informed
Télam
that at the moment the young woman's defense attorney did not request her release.
Judge Provitola has
a legal period of 10 days
to resolve the prosecution of the accused, during which time she will have different evidence measures.
For the time being, the young woman will continue to be detained at the Warden of the Communal Police Station 1, in Retiro.
Previously, the accused had been subjected to
psychiatric and psychological studies
to determine that she was in a position to testify before the magistrate.
The incident occurred Thursday at noon in a vacation colony of the "West Club" of Caballito, when the young woman pretended to be the baby's nanny and removed him from the place without those responsible noticing the situation.
The club authorities discovered what had happened when the boy's aunt went to pick him up and realized that he was no longer there.
After the complaint made by the family, a police operation was mounted that in 25 minutes allowed the young woman and the child to be located.
Both were in Rivadavia Park, five blocks from the neighborhood.
