Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatib Zadeh called on the Saudi aggression coalition against Yemen to end the war and end the siege on Yemen and move forward towards a peaceful solution to the crisis there.
The Iranian News Agency "IRNA" quoted the media department of the ministry as saying that Khatib Zadeh, commenting on the recent statements of American officials on Yemen, confirmed that cutting support and stopping arms sales to the Saudi coalition, if not a political maneuver, would constitute a step towards correcting the mistakes of the past. The need to lift the air, sea and land blockade and put an end to the military attacks launched by the aggression countries led by the Saudi regime on this country.
Khatib Zadeh stressed that the international community and some countries involved in the Saudi regime’s crimes against the Yemeni people through the trade and sale of weapons to them must end their solid and soft support for them and put an end to the continuation of this humanitarian disaster.
Khatib Zadeh also pointed to the importance of exerting more international efforts to assist Yemen and cut off support for the aggressor, stressing the importance of the initiative presented by his country to solve the crisis in this country.
