Even in lockdown, there are ways to make your partner happy.

Flower shops and restaurants help with this.

Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen

- say it through the flower or let love go through the stomach: Sunday is Valentine's Day.

For this reason, the florists can offer "Click & Collect".

This means that flowers that have been ordered in advance can be picked up in stores between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m.

Many dealers in the northern district use this option.

If you want to serve your chosen one a fine meal and don't want to be at the stove yourself, some restaurants cook special Valentine's Day menus “to go” for you.

Claudia Baran from the Bartl flower and fruit store in Wolfratshausen is allowed to sell flowers on Saturday anyway because she also sells groceries.

She doesn't want to miss the additional business on Sunday, whereby Baran emphasizes: "We florists don't do the big rub on Valentine's Day."

Roses in particular are simply very expensive at the time of year.

And because Lovers' Day is celebrated almost all over the world, the prices are correspondingly high.

Baran: “It's a matter of supply and demand”.

The trader hopes that, despite generally tight budgets, people will not save on this little gift for their partner in Corona times.

Franziska Strobl from “Stroblume” in Geretsried points out that nothing works on Sunday without pre-ordering by phone or email.

And what does the master florist recommend to a young man with a fresh crush if it shouldn't be the classic red rose?

“I recommend a colorful spring bouquet or a bouquet in the favorite colors of the loved one.

The more individual and personal, the better ”.

Flowers: the more individual, the better

Three red roses and a bottle of Prosecco are also included if you order one of the three menus available at Ristorante Italy in Geretsried - which is still possible spontaneously on Sundays.

According to the motto “Love goes through the stomach” Umile Amodio and his team conjure up fine fish or meat fillet in porcini mushroom sauce, each with a starter and dessert (see Facebook: “Italy Da Umile”).

You can pick up the dishes or have them conveniently delivered to your home.

“The whole family helps to give our guests a special pleasure experience,” says Gabi Amodio.

The Landhauscafé in Wolfratshausen has also come up with something extraordinary.

In addition to the normal menu, owner Alexandra Steiner offers her guests a three-course menu with meat and a vegetarian option.

Anyone who thinks that beetroot carpaccio with chopped walnuts, balsamic cream and pumpkin seed oil, vegetable lasagne and tiramisu could be something for their sweetheart, for example, should pre-order by Saturday.

First celery foam soup, then coq au vin

"Everything is canceled - only love is not": This is the saying that organic restaurateurs Isabella and Sebastian Miller from Moarwirt in Hechenberg near Dietramszell are promoting their Valentine's Day special.

"We already have quite a few pre-orders," says Isabella Miller happily.

These include as many women as men.

The classic role allocation “He gives flowers or chocolates, she cooks something nice for him” does not apply.

Because the landlords attach great importance to ensuring that everything arrives fresh and warm on the plate, their guests are allowed to pick up the wooden spoon themselves.

But don't worry: Isabella Miller promises minimal effort and a guarantee of success.

The ingredients for the celery foam soup just have to be mixed and slowly heated.

The coq au vin is seared briefly and heated together with the pumpkin and the homemade gnocchi.

The lovebirds can then lean back over the mousse au chocolat.

The elegant three-course menu at the Moarwirt costs 34 euros per person, and for four courses you pay 47 euros.

If you like, you can add an original bouquet of flowers from the Tölzer shop "naughty" and happiness alone in your home is perfect.
