Toumani, 14, was stabbed on Tuesday during a brawl between gangs in Essonne. Nathan, who trained and advised him a few

For him, Toumani was "like a little brother".

Nathan, former youth coach at the Boussy-Quincy football club, watched over this 14-year-old teenager, fatally stabbed this Tuesday in Boussy-Saint-Antoine (Essonne) during a gang brawl.

Tragic coincidence: he collapsed near the Stade de la Ferme, where he played for two years.

"I was Toumani's coach in U11 and U12

(Editor's note: under 11 and 12)

, and supervisor in his college, Dunoyer-de-Segonzac in Boussy," says Nathan, 27, slow flow.

At the club, the boy was an "involved" goalkeeper, "who gave himself and did well".

He left Boussy-Quincy FC two years ago.

At school, the teenager, on the other hand, had more difficulties.

Beside, there were “the stories” of gangs.

Or the rivalry between its district, the Vieillet in Quincy-sous-Sénart, and the neighboring city of the Filmmakers in Epinay-sous-Sénart.

Where are the young people from 13 to 17 years old who took part in the deadly brawl on Tuesday?

"A complicated child, but not a bad boy"

“It could happen that Toumani is involved in this, admits Nathan.

I was trying to tell him that this was going nowhere, like I do with all the other kids that get into these things.

»On the advice of Toumani's mother, his coach would pick him up in the morning on tournament days, and bring him back in the evening to prevent him from hanging out too much.

"Toumani was a complicated child, he wanted to make himself interesting, but he was not a bad boy", specifies Nathan.

Originally from Epinay-sous-Sénart, the coach managed to gain respect from young people from all quarters.

In particular by making them play together under the same jersey.

“It's a rivalry that has lasted for years,” explains Nathan.

The little ones want to do like the big ones.

As I know people on both sides, I brought Spinolians back to Boussy, I tried to mediate.

Unfortunately it didn't work.

"

"The kids think it's a game"

Another club coach abounds: “In Boussy-Quincy, we try to mix the young people, to get them out together, he explains.

Unfortunately, our club finds itself in the midst of rivalry.

Nathan, who now trains in Brunoy, a neighboring town, notes that in his time "it was fought, but not to kill".

“Today, kids think that it only happens to others, that it's a game, they're unconscious,” he adds.

The solution ?

Perhaps the elders of the two neighborhoods could talk to each other… ”

In the Vieillet district, an online pot has been launched in support of Toumani's relatives.

She accumulated more than 7,000 euros and 300 participations this Thursday evening.

The perpetrator of the stabbing taken into custody

This Thursday evening, the Evry-Courcouronnes public prosecutor's office announced that the perpetrator of the fatal stab was remanded in custody.

Aged 15 and from Epinay, he confessed to having "panicked", surrounded by two young people from Quincy during the brawl.

He was jailed for "murder of a 15-year-old" and "attempted murder of a 15-year-old" after another 13-year-old was injured in the neck.

Six other minors from Quincy, aged 16 to 17, were placed under judicial supervision for violence aggravated by three circumstances - in a meeting, with weapon and premeditation - and participation in a group for the preparation of violence.

"They are prohibited from appearing in Ile-de-France and from contacting the co-perpetrators, the victims and their families", specifies the prosecution.
