Today, the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned the American aggression against areas in Deir Ezzor near the Syrian-Iraqi border yesterday evening.
Fars News Agency quoted Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatib Zadeh as saying that this aggression, which comes as a continuation of the continuous assaults of the Zionist entity on the Syrian lands, constitutes a flagrant violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Syria and a violation of international laws and human rights and would destabilize the region.
The spokesman added that this aggression took place at a time when the American forces have been illegally in the Syrian lands for several years and are plundering their natural resources, including oil, which is a natural right of the Syrian people, pointing out that the illegal US bases in the Syrian territories train and use terrorist elements.
