16 Syrian and Russian plastic artists embodied the meanings of hope, love, common life, and the beauty of Damascus, past and present, in a group exhibition that included their plastic paintings, sculptures and graphics at the Russian Cultural Center in Damascus.

The exhibition, which is the first of its kind held by the center after stopping for years from holding similar events, was reported by Nikolai Sukhov, director of the Russian Cultural Center to SANA, that it came as part of efforts to consolidate Syrian and Russian cultural relations and help plastic artists in Syria by pushing the wheel of art and presenting high-end art to the center's visitors who are over a hundred Every day, raising a new generation on culture and art, and drawing their attention to high human meanings.

Plastic artist Fatima Al-Soudi participated in an expressive painting under the name behind bars expressing the state of sadness and loss of hope by depicting the psychological state through colors, while Abeer Al-Kasih participated in an educational guide and a drawing artist inspired by the poems of Nizar Qabbani that includes the Damascene neighborhoods and the Levantine woman in a mixture of poetry and formation.

Plastic artist Abeer Karimou participated in an oil painting on the canvas that embodies the deepest bonds between men and women and their role in spreading light in his life, while the plastic artist and poet Kholoud Karimou participated in a painting that mixes women and the homeland and embodies different emotions through dark and light colors in addition to the high symbolism through geometric shapes while it came The participation of the artist, Jihad Al-Abdi, with an acrylic painting that represents the Damascene nature in the autumn season and its relationship with man

Artist Dr. Mahmoud Salem, member of the Central Council of the Union of Plastic Artists and the supervisor of the exhibition, in turn explained that some of the participating artists are academics and others are amateurs who have presented works that represent many aspects of the Syrian society and life for generations, indicating that the exhibition is a mixture of beautiful art and distinct visual language, and schools in it differed between abstract, impressionism and realism. Expressive and classic.

Svetlana Miro from the Russian Cultural Center indicated that some of the participating artists hold the two nationalities together, pointing out that the aim of the exhibition is to activate the center's role in the Syrian plastic movement, as it has always been celebrating and holding periodic exhibitions before the war.
