A group of militants from the
Autonomous CTA
violently entered the facilities of the
Río Negro
newspaper on Tuesday
, where they
beat members of the staff and caused damage.
According to the media itself, the unionists
beat the receptionist,
threw alcohol and paint on him.
They also assaulted
a photographer.
The incident occurred around noon, after the coverage by the Río Negro newspaper of the hearing for
sexual abuse against Miguel Báez
, leader of the ODEL group of the Autonomous CTA.
Witnesses
indicated that the militants were marching from the headquarters of the Judiciary where the hearing was held.
They broke into the newspaper's building, attacked two people and demanded to speak to journalist Luis Leiva, whom they
threatened with death.
Leiva is the person covering the case against Báez.
Although in the images that circulated about the episode it is observed that the attackers had bibs from the Autonomous CTA, the local referents of that union branch
tried to detach themselves
from the incidents and said that these people "are not necessarily organically subordinate to the central.
