In addition to Bavaria, Saxony (93,600), Saarland (81,900), Thuringia (35,100), Rhineland-Palatinate (23,400) and Saxony-Anhalt (11,700) also receive additional doses.

According to a letter to the health ministers of the federal states, the measure is based on a resolution of the Prime Minister's Conference of March 19, 2021. The fact that endangered border regions receive more vaccine is part of the latest federal-state resolution.
