Humanitarian and patriotic topics at the Poetry Festival in the Al-Assad Library in Damascus

Al-Assad Library, in cooperation with the Syrian General Book Authority, held a poetry festival in which a number of poets and poets presented national and humanitarian topics and new poetic visions.

The poet Dr. Thaer Zainuddin delivered a number of his texts that were dominated by symbol and significance, considering the star as a symbol for those who carry goodness, knowledge and light to society through musical activations that are in harmony with the things of nature that he used.

In his texts delivered by the poet Radwan Al-Sah, sadness overcame the transformations of the event in an advanced artistic style without resorting to ambiguity, touching on the national and humanitarian concern and the reasons that made this concern prevail over man.

In his turn, the poet Shafiq Deeb delivered a number of zajal texts that were distinguished by wisdom, music, artistic construction, and caution against imbalance in addition to the objective balance in the movement of events to reach convincing ends.

The texts of the poet Linda Ibrahim came to combine authenticity with contemporary and transforming the connotation into an artistic value that takes people to new visions and sublime meanings, using the passage and the two halves in her texts.

As for the poet Saqr Alishi, he delivered balanced poetic flashes and poems in which the human and social tendency appeared, and the crystallization of reality and truth according to indications that came in an easy and abstaining manner.

Poet Marwa Halawa concluded the festival by expressing love for Damascus and making it a great national symbol, using the style of the two halves, the simple sea and the roy letter for the end of the rhyme, in addition to other sentimental texts in the same style.

The festival, which was moderated by the media poet Ali Al-Dandah, Minister of Culture, Dr. Labana Mashouh, Dr. Muhammad Al-Hourani, President of the Arab Writers Union and Director of Cultural Centers, Hamoud Al-Mousa, Al-Arqam Al-Zoubi, a member of the Executive Office of the Arab Writers Union, and a number of critics, writers and media professionals attended the festival.

The festival was accompanied by a variety of music performances by Hoshek Habash, Hamza Bou-Rish, and Afif Dehbar.
