On the occasion of the Maimonides holiday (Saturday), students from Israel and Morocco are holding a joint online Andalusian concert hosted by Evelyn the Redeemer.

The concert is part of a wide range of collaborations in the field of education, agreed upon by the Minister of Education, Yoav Galant and his Moroccan counterpart, Said Amazazi.

The students from Israel will perform a series of piyyutim, musicals and musical works taken from the folklore of Moroccan Jewry, including: "Ahlen VeSahlen", "Lamolat Shuvi Roni", "Ahibak" and more

The students from Morocco will perform a wide variety of musical works, including the melody "Let's Reveal".

Alongside these, programs for gifted and outstanding students will be promoted, a new curriculum will be formulated to get to know the history and heritage of Morocco, intended for fifth graders in all elementary schools in Israel.

Delegations of teachers and students will also take place between the countries.

Recall that as part of strengthening ties between the two countries, Morocco announced the decision to incorporate into the local curriculum, under the guidance of the King, contents that teach about the State of Israel and Moroccan Jewry and its heritage.

The Ministry of Education stated that the two ministers intend to hold additional and joint cultural events, which include conferences and joint projects on pedagogical innovation.
