A Syrian economic delegation discussed with Brigadier Hashmati Pour, Director of the Itka Corporation for Food Industries and Iranian Transformational Industries in Tehran today, strengthening economic cooperation relations between Syria and Iran.

During the talks, Brigadier General Pour gave a detailed presentation on the commodities offered in the commercial branches of the Iranian corporation, which could be used to establish the same model in Syria.

The Syrian delegation included Assistant Minister of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection Eng. Jamal Al-Din Shuaib, Assistant Minister of Industry Dr. Jamal Al-Omar, Director General of the Syrian Trade Ahmed Negm, Engineer Haris Makhlouf, Director General of the General Organization for Textile Industries. The meeting was also attended by Dr. Tawfiq Abu Gallon from the Syrian Embassy in Tehran.

During a tour, the delegation toured one of the commercial centers of the Itka Corporation, which contains a large number of various food and manufacturing industries. It also toured the modernized oil plant, during which they were briefed on how it operates and its departments and how to benefit from the technology present in it in the oil factories in Syria.

The Deputy Minister of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection, Eng., Said in a statement to SANA's correspondent in Tehran: “A proposal was made by the Ministry of Trade and Consumer Protection on cooperation between AITCA and the Syrian Trade Corporation on exporting some foodstuffs that the Iranian side needs and exporting the materials that the Syrian side needs in terms of materials. Food such as sugar, sunflower oil, rice and tuna ”.

For his part, the Assistant Minister of Industry said in a similar statement that “Areas of cooperation between the two countries were presented to transfer technology and benefit from Iranian expertise in the field of industry and technologies in addition to discussing some projects that were previously presented between the two parties, especially in the field of establishing a battery plant, as well as providing production lines to increase production capacity. For bottling mineral water ”.

Al-Omar explained that the Iranian side offered to supply some raw materials that are not available to factories in Syria.
