Tuesday at 8.30,
residents of the City who are
between 55 and 59 years old
will be able to register to receive the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine.
This stage includes a specific group: those with
prevalent diseases and strategic personnel
.
In the last hours, and with the entry of two shipments of 500 thousand vaccines each (a part of them still waiting to be authorized for distribution), immunization among those over 60 accelerated, which enabled progress to be made
in the rest of the population considered a priority.
To register you have to enter the official website of the City.
And you have to wait for the day and time indicated so that the link that allows you to load the data is enabled.
In the City, it is estimated that 1,200,000 people should be vaccinated and that they serve different priority and risk groups.
According to official information, updated to May 16,
60% of this part of the population was inoculated with the first dose (729,444 people)
, while 18% already have a second dose (216,307 people).
At the same time, the groups of people belonging to
Stages 4 and 5
may be registered
.
The first, make up the strategic personnel: security forces, firefighters, emergencies and human development,
teachers and non-teachers
.
All of them were joined by the people who work and collaborate in community kitchens.
Those in Stage 5 are those who are
between 55 and 59 years old, and with underlying diseases.
From this Tuesday they open the registration for people from 55 to 59 years with risk factors in the City.
In the case of cafeteria workers, the community centers and social organizations will
submit their payroll to the Ministry of Human Development and Habitat.
This information will have the character of a sworn statement and "will be compared with the payrolls that the area has," they explained from the Buenos Aires government.
It is estimated that 20% correspond to social organizations and the rest are
community kitchens.
Regarding the residents of the City who have underlying diseases, it is important to clarify that they
must prove this condition.
First, when registering, they will have to
complete an affidavit.
This procedure is carried out online, when the identity data and the contact form are loaded. There is also the option of
registering through 147.
Then, on the day of vaccination, you must present yourself at the chosen site with a
medical certificate,
or
medical
history, that indicates the underlying disease.

demonstrate the condition they suffer.
Ten days ago the Ministry of Health of the Nation expanded the target population to be vaccinated;
Among others, it included cancer patients, people with active tuberculosis, and those with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
Last Friday the City received
33,600 first doses of Sputnik V vaccines.
With this amount, it advanced in the application to the +60 group and a remnant of another group of older adults.
On Saturday, as confirmed by the chief of staff Felipe Miguel, 11,144 people were vaccinated.
Those vaccines that were delivered to the City on Friday belong to a shipment that arrived on Thursday, May 13, with a total of 500,000 first doses of Sputnik V, as confirmed to
Clarín by
the Ministry of Health of the Nation.
And in the next few hours the delivery of another previous shipment could be completely released, on Monday the 10. It happens that in recent weeks the Russian laboratory Centro Gamaleya increased the production of vaccines and
transferred technology to other laboratories not yet inspected by the ANMAT
( National Administration of Drugs, Food and Medical Technology). In these hours this Argentine control body works to allow the entry of these doses. The City should receive a similar amount,
just over 30,000 first doses.
More vaccines are pending to arrive between Thursday and Friday, but from
AstraZeneca.
It is estimated that it is about one million doses and they are part of the production that took place in Argentina, with a total of 3,960,000 first doses arriving in May, according to announcements from the national government. On Friday, on the other hand,
861,000 second doses would also enter AstraZeneca
to complete the immunization of those over 60 who already have the first vaccine.
They belong to the Covax fund of the World Health Organization.
This entry of vaccines coincides with a very complex epidemiological moment.
With the contagion curve high, (this Monday 2,445 cases were reported in the City), the Buenos Aires Minister of Health, Fernán Quirós, assured the decision to take more restrictions from Friday depends on the evolution of next Tuesday and Wednesday.
