A gathering of people was held in the town of Naim in Eastern Ghouta today, a gathering of a crowd of the people of the towns of Shifouniya, Otaya, Nashabiyeh, and Maida, the monsters of al-Fara, the monsters of Nasri, and the monsters of al-Dawahra, in support of the presidential elections and to confirm the wide participation in the presidential elections on Wednesday.
The participants in the event set off on a car rally from the town of Shifouniya, passing through several towns in Eastern Ghouta, to the gathering place where people from nearby towns flocked to waving national flags and chanting patriotic chants and anthems for Syria and its army.
A number of the participants in the gathering emphasized the wide and effective participation in the elections to complement the victory of Syria, loyalty to the blood of the martyrs, and to draw the features of a better future for them and their children.
The mayor of Shifuniya, Burhan Abboud, explained in a statement to SANA that the people of Ghouta gathered a sincere expression and an emphasis on keenness to participate in the presidential elections and to exercise their constitutional right and their national duty to cast their votes in the presidential elections for those who are able to reconstruct Syria and lead it to safety.
For his part, the mayor of Utaya, Faisal al-Raqqad, pointed out that the people of Eastern Ghouta gathered two days before the presidential elections to say their word to the world that the Syrian people are the ones who decide their own future and reject external interference in their affairs, indicating that the people gathered an image that reflects national cohesion and real democracy.
As for the mayor of Hosh Al-Dawahra, Ahmed Al-Sharaf indicated that the people of the towns of Ghouta will participate in the elections to choose the candidate who preserves our dignity and supports our national economy, to cut off the road to anyone who tries to undermine our national fabric.
The town of Al-Wafideen camp near the city of Douma witnessed a celebration of the people, which included artistic performances, patriotic songs and poetic paragraphs that embodied the importance of participating in the presidential elections, a new phase, so we will choose our representative freely and transparently.
