The Washington Post revealed the formation of a "grand" jury to monitor forensic evidence related to accusations of fraud and financial and tax fraud against former US President Donald Trump.
The newspaper stated in a report today that the Attorney General's office in Manhattan, New York State, "Cyrus Vance" has formed the authority to collect criminal evidence against Trump and senior executives in his company with the aim of making a decision about issuing indictments regarding the financial activity of the former US president.
The jury move comes as a new indication of the acceleration of the investigation being directed by "Vance Jr.", in parallel with a separate investigation by the New York attorney general into the suspicious financial activities of Trump and his company.
And the Attorney General's office in New York announced earlier this month that Trump's organization, which includes hundreds of companies linked to the latter or his relatives, is the target of a criminal investigation.
