San Jose, California, police responded to a shooting near downtown on Younger Avenue and San Pedro Street on Wednesday, according to a tweet from the San Jose Police Department.
"Shooter was killed," the Santa Clara County Sheriff tweeted in a brief update.
"Officers are currently on the scene for an active investigation of a shooter in the 100 W. Younger Ave, SJ area," according to a tweet from the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office.
The sheriff warns that people should not approach the area. Active scene, be careful.
