It is the tragically banal chronicle of a violence that has become ordinary. We have the feeling, everywhere, in cities but also increasingly in rural areas, that a tsunami of violence is sweeping over France. Even if the causes are multiple, there is a common denominator: outlaws are no longer afraid of the law. They know that for the vast majority of them they will not or very little go to prison: only 2% of sentences are completed. No, contrary to what Eric Dupond-Moretti says, there is not a feeling of insecurity; on the contrary, there is a feeling of impunity, reinforced when the Minister of Justice affirms that he is the Minister for detainees. I deeply believe that Eric Dupond-Moretti is a casting error.
