Tourism and air transport start a recovery in Europe

In May, airlines added more flights and hotels welcomed more customers. But the fill rate remains low compared to 2019.


A wind of optimism such as we had not seen for a long time is blowing in air transport and tourism.

Granted, this is just a very light breeze.

But it puts balm in the hearts of professionals in the sector after more than a year of bad news.

A few days ago, Iata, which brings together 280 airlines worldwide, revised upwards its traffic forecasts for this year: the organization now expects 52% of the activity carried out in 2019 while in January it expected to do 38% at best.

Above all, Europe, which until now was lagging behind this recovery, is finally seeing the first effects.
