He expects to complete the recruitment review in the fourth quarter of this year. He also said that the government is confident to increase the proportion of 18 to 35-year-old youth committee members to 15% of the overall government committee members and reach the target by the middle of next year.
Zhang Jianzong also pointed out that as the epidemic has eased recently, the "Walk with Hong Kong" program will be resumed this summer, allowing high school students to act as officials' "shadow of work" for a day and experience government operations.
He expects to conduct recruitment and selection in June and July, respectively, and hold a "shadow of work" event in August.
This year, students who are eligible to participate in the project will expand from Form 4 to Form 6 to Form 3. Invitations will be sent to all secondary schools in Hong Kong this week.
