Israel classified Argentina
as a "maximum risk" country
due to the number of coronavirus cases.
In practice, this means that Israeli citizens wishing to travel to the country will have to
request a special permit from the government
.
For those who arrive in Israel from Argentina,
the regulations mandate that they must enter quarantine
, even if they have a vaccination certificate or that they have already recovered from the disease.
The other countries that complete the list of those considered most risky due to their health situation are Brazil, India, Mexico, Russia and South Africa.
The regulations were drawn up by the country's Ministry of Health, in collaboration with other government agencies.

According to the Israeli government, there are three possible criteria for determining whether a given country enters the "highest risk" list:
-The first criterion is whether the number of new cases detected among travelers who have entered Israel in the last 30 days from that country is greater than 50.
-The second criterion is whether the number of new cases detected among travelers who have entered Israel in the last 30 days from any country is greater than 10, and is
also greater than 0.5% of the total number of travelers
who entered Israel from That country.
-The third criterion is whether the country in question registers
high levels of morbidity and new cases
, combining the frequency of the Variables of Concern and the proportion of positive cases per total of travelers who entered Israel from that country.
Israel is one of the few countries where you can begin to see what the reality of the post-pandemic could be with herd immunity.
The country already has
80% of its population vaccinated
, and in recent weeks it lifted the remaining restrictions.
The shops can now fully function with full capacity, and a vaccination certificate is no longer required to enter.
Over the past seven days, the country has
averaged fewer than 15 new cases per day
.
