The father of Executive Council member Lin Jianfeng, "Father of Little Yellow Duck", Lin Liang, was filed with the High Court on a civil lawsuit by Senco Products Co., Ltd., which owns the "B.Duck" brand, last Friday (2nd).

The plaintiff is Sunco Products Co., Ltd. and the defendant is Lin Liang.

Funderful Creations Litmited, a company owned by Lin Liang, holds the patent right of LT Duck.

The plaintiff is filing a complaint that the Hong Kong Economic Journal reported on June 21 this year, entitled ""Father of Little Yellow Duck", Lin Liang added vitality to toys and started a business at the age of 90, rebuilt classics and promoted the spirit of struggle." The defendant slandered the plaintiff in the content.

The plaintiff stated that it had never filed a lawsuit against the defendant’s company or LT Duck.

In March 2019, its subsidiary filed a lawsuit against LT Duck's "reauthorization" company in the Mainland, and the plaintiff's subsidiary also won the lawsuit.

The plaintiff therefore had to publish a statement rebuttal in another newspaper, at a cost of no less than 40,000 yuan.

In addition, the plaintiff’s parent company applied to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange for listing in May this year, but the defendant’s company charged the plaintiff with infringement to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

The plaintiff requested the court to issue an injunction to prohibit the defendant from defamating the plaintiff, and the defendant must also remove the defamatory statements involved in the case.

In addition, the plaintiff also requested the defendant to publish an apology in a Chinese newspaper and an English newspaper.
