After the report on the criminal youth gang in Karlsfeld, Thomas Rauscher, police director and head of the Dachau police station, spoke up.
The youth officer Thomas Kirner of the Dachau police had told the Dachauer Nachrichten that a youth gang had been active in Karlsfeld for around two years, whose members had committed violent crimes.
Rauscher emphasizes that he sees the situation differently than his youth official.

The two leaders, two brothers, have been in prison since last summer and spring.

Mayor Stefan Kolbe said he had never seen anything like it in Karlsfeld and was appalled by the violence.
Thomas Rauscher, on the other hand, regards the "security situation in Karlsfeld as less problematic than my youth officer".

The sad climax was the serious injury of a 16-year-old from Karlsfeld, who was attacked with a knife in Puchheim, Fürstenfeldbruck district.
Thanks to a strong presence in Karlsfeld with uniformed and civilian police, we were able to identify the group members.
The increased police presence may have meant that we have not had any relevant reports or our own findings for a few weeks.
Thanks to close cooperation between various agencies, it was possible to arrest two conspicuous suspects who were strongly suspected of having committed crimes in Karlsfeld but also outside of the Dachau district.
The order was made by the Dachau District Court.
Imprisonment was the order of the day.
In my opinion, milder measures were unsuccessful for the two young men.
Our police concept seems to be working.
We continue to do it.
The patrol crews and also plainclothes police officers will continue to be attentive in the Karlsfeld area.
Support staff from Fürstenfeldbruck and the Bavarian riot police are also deployed again and again.

I really appreciate the work of our dedicated youth officials.
It is not least thanks to them that the situation has eased again.
