With the PRO in the City of Buenos Aires cleared, the former Buenos Aires governor, María Eugenia Vidal, launched herself this Saturday as a candidate for deputy in the district in a wide photo of unity.
The event held in Palermo, with the presence of Horacio Rodríguez Larreta and Patricia Bullrich, was broadcast virtually.
"They told us on the street, be together and united. Here we are, together and united. With the same convictions and values. But with new learnings and a desire to defend hope and the future," he began.
"I accept this candidacy because it is a difficult moment for Argentina
. Today more than ever I feel that I want to and have to be there to defend the Argentines,
" he remarked.
And she added: "I heard the phrase 'it is what there is'. I say 'it is not what there is'. We must build something much better. That is why I want to be a candidate."

The head of the Buenos Aires government praised Vidal's candidacy: "I have known her for a long time. We have enormous confidence. For me it is a pride that she heads our list of unity. She is an honest person who has a huge commitment to improve the life of the people and that now he is going to take to Congress representing the City but defending all Argentines. "
"We do not all think the same and that is valid. We discuss and enrich public policies. We are all represented here. It is the first time since 1983 that we kept the opposition united and it is a huge achievement," he added.
For her part, Patricia Bullrich exclaimed: "María Eugenia, I hope you can carry this flag forward. I wish you the best of luck. In front of us, we have a movement that aggravates all day. The presentation also included Martín Lousteau and Emiliano Yacobitti for the UCR, Maximiliano Ferraro for the Civic Coalition, Graciela Ocaña for Public Trust, the socialist Roy Cortina and other leaders.
"This is what they will continue to see in the coming days in the City and in the rest of the country. Working to have the best electoral offer and working together for the country we want," Lousteau said.
In December, five deputies from the PRO, three from the UCR and two from the Civic Coalition expire.
There are ten of Juntos por el Cambio (they had entered in 2017 through two different lists, one headed by Elisa Carrió and the other by Martín Lousteau) and the district renews a total of 13 seats.
