With the PRO in the City of Buenos Aires cleared, the former Buenos Aires governor, María Eugenia Vidal, launched herself this Saturday as a candidate for deputy in the district in a wide photo of unity.

The event held in Palermo, with the presence of Horacio Rodríguez Larreta and Patricia Bullrich, was broadcast virtually.

"They told us on the street, be together and united. Here we are, together and united. With the same convictions and values. But with new learnings and a desire to defend hope and the future," he began.

"I accept this candidacy because it is a difficult moment for Argentina

. Today more than ever I feel that I want to and have to be there to defend the Argentines,

" he remarked.

And she added: "I heard the phrase 'it is what there is'. I say 'it is not what there is'. We must build something much better. That is why I want to be a candidate."

"You have to show that the country depends on us. From that place I accept. I thought about it for a long time and not because I speculated.

Never speculate.

All this is bigger than myself. I wanted to be sure after 2019 that I had learned, that the north space was clear. I confirmed it and in the next few months I hope to transmit it, "he exclaimed.

"I heard many opinions and comments about my candidacy. I never speculated, I never took advantage, in each place I gave all the battles. I felt sorrow and even surprise when I heard that the medium was hiding behind my decisions. It is not like that. The passion and commitment drives this decision. What I put in the Province. I don't know any other way to do things.

We need new faces,

"he said about his move from the Province to the City.

In this regard, he remarked: "I learned that problems and difficulties are complex. We need to be many more and if we are always the same in the same places, others do not grow. Change cannot be made by one person, we have to be many.

I don't compete in the Province because I want others to grow

. "

The head of the Buenos Aires government praised Vidal's candidacy: "I have known her for a long time. We have enormous confidence. For me it is a pride that she heads our list of unity. She is an honest person who has a huge commitment to improve the life of the people and that now he is going to take to Congress representing the City but defending all Argentines. "

"We do not all think the same and that is valid. We discuss and enrich public policies. We are all represented here. It is the first time since 1983 that we kept the opposition united and it is a huge achievement," he added.

For her part, Patricia Bullrich exclaimed: "María Eugenia, I hope you can carry this flag forward. I wish you the best of luck. In front of us, we have a movement that aggravates all day. It has come to say that we are worse than the Nazis. more undemocratic. We have to continue in our democratic and republican matrix. "

The presentation also included Martín Lousteau and Emiliano Yacobitti for the UCR, Maximiliano Ferraro for the Civic Coalition, Graciela Ocaña for Public Trust, the socialist Roy Cortina and other leaders.

"This is what they will continue to see in the coming days in the City and in the rest of the country. Working to have the best electoral offer and working together for the country we want," Lousteau said.

In December, five deputies from the PRO, three from the UCR and two from the Civic Coalition expire.

There are ten of Juntos por el Cambio (they had entered in 2017 through two different lists, one headed by Elisa Carrió and the other by Martín Lousteau) and the district renews a total of 13 seats.
