Starting from Monday 12 July, the head physician of the obstetrics and gynecology department of the Santa Chiara hospital in Trento, Saverio Tateo, will be transferred to another operating unit. Another medical director will be moved to another hospital of the Trentino health authority.
This was decided by the Provincial Health Services Agency (Apss) at the end of the analysis of the documentation and testimonies of more than 110 people heard by the internal investigation commission set up within the gynecology department of Santa Chiara di Trento for clarify the working conditions within the ward after the disappearance of the young gynecologist Sara Pedri.
From the documentation - informs the Healthcare Company - objective facts and a critical ward situation emerge that make these measures necessary "decided in order to protect the serenity of the patients, of all the operators involved and to safeguard the proper functioning of the ward". The general management will send the documents of the investigation commission to the Disciplinary Proceedings Office for the activation of the related procedure.
