Damascus-SANA
The General Company for Sanitation in Damascus Governorate has started the implementation of a project to construct and replace the sewage line in one of the main streets in Nahr Aisha, which extends from Abdul Rahman Al Kawakibi School to the southern ramp, with a length of 380 meters.
The project serves the entire Kafr Sousa area and surrounding neighborhoods, in addition to a part of Mezzeh, as explained by its supervisor, Engineer Ibrahim Abdel Rahman, to the delegate of SANA. It has polyethylene (plastic) pipes, each of which is 6 meters long and one meter in diameter, with a depth ranging from 3 meters to 70 centimeters to 4 meters and 10 centimeters.
Abdul Rahman stated that the project’s goal is to replace the old sewage network, which suffers from leakage and blockage of some pipes, indicating that work is ongoing, as excavation works, installation of pipes and restoration of landfills are carried out immediately simultaneously and quickly in order to maintain traffic on the road and complete the project as soon as possible and before the implementation period scheduled for four months.
