Sham Shui Po Police District Special Duty Squad officers conducted an anti-drug operation code-named "Thunder 2021" at about 3 pm yesterday (9th) and raided a subdivided unit at No. 179 Fa Yuen Street, Mong Kok, and seized more than 2 kilograms. The suspected cannabis flower and about 950 grams of suspected heroin have a total market value of about 1.5 million yuan.

During the operation, the police arrested two Indian men aged 30 and 33 on suspicion of drug trafficking. They are now being detained for investigation.

The police stated that they would continue to conduct intelligence-led anti-drug operations and reiterated that drug trafficking is a serious crime. According to the Dangerous Drugs Ordinance, Chapter 134 of the Laws of Hong Kong, upon conviction, the maximum penalty is a fine of HK$5 million and life imprisonment. The public should not try the law on their own. .
