The air temperature in the Russian capital, Moscow, rose today to 32.7 degrees Celsius during the past 24 hours, breaking the record set in the capital in 1936.
And the “Russia Today” website quoted Yevgeny Tishkovets, chief of staff of the Russian “Phobos” Meteorological Center, as saying that the talk is about breaking a record air temperature that was set in Moscow in 1936, reaching 32.4 degrees Celsius.
The expert explained that it is the first temperature record in this month and the fifth since the beginning of summer, when the air temperature exceeded 30 degrees for 13 days in a row.
Tishkovic added that forecasts suggest that the temperature will remain at the same level for an additional 4 or 5 days.
