Landslide, destroyed houses, flooded city centers: the bad weather killed many people and caused considerable damage.

These bad weather caused the death of 153 people according to the latest report communicated on Saturday morning, including 133 in Germany.

The resulting floods also caused immense property damage, as shown in these images of ransacked city centers and crumbling houses.

This is the worst natural disaster since the war and the heaviest human toll recorded across the Rhine for twenty years.

On social networks, many Internet users did not fail to show these images of desolation where the waters took everything in their path.

Others noted the before and after bad weather to underline the extent of the damage.

In Germany, nearly a thousand soldiers were mobilized to help with relief and clearing operations alongside the police and relief workers.

Most of the precipitation ceased on Friday and the water level began to fall.
