According to the director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, CDC, for its acronym in English, Rochelle Walensky, this trend is driven by low levels of vaccination. Louisiana set a new record for COVID-19 hospitalizations last week. While in Florida, a hospital association survey recently indicated that hospitalizations increased by 13% compared to the maximum recorded on July 23, 2020.
