The United States called on its citizens to leave Afghanistan immediately, claiming the deteriorating security situation there, after its withdrawal from this country, which it destroyed and turned into a hotbed of tension and a hotbed for terrorist organizations and extremist groups.
"US citizens should leave Afghanistan as soon as possible using available commercial transportation and not plan to rely on US government flights," a notice from the US embassy in Kabul said on its website.
The Afghan Taliban movement announced earlier today that it had taken control of the strategic city of Ghazni in eastern Afghanistan, getting closer and closer to the capital, Kabul, which was confirmed by the Afghan government.
It is noteworthy that the Taliban movement has recently taken control of large areas of Afghanistan, including important cities and border crossings, in conjunction with the US administration's announcement of the withdrawal of its soldiers from this country after an occupation that lasted for nearly two decades and completely drained Afghanistan and plunged it into a cycle of chaos and violence.
