Zeng Qiyin, the co-chair of the Infectious Disease Advisory Committee of the Medical Association, pointed out that it is estimated that during the packaging or transportation of the chilled fish, the virus adhered to the surface due to infection. However, there is a chance that it will be the remains of the virus and the risk of transmission is low.
He reminded the public that after buying food, they should pack and wash the food first, and should not put it in the refrigerator immediately, and should cook it at a high temperature of at least 70 degrees Celsius before eating.
The neighboring fish stalls remain open as usual, and some of them continue to sell chilled fish, but it is unknown whether they are from the same supplier.
