Fifth corona wave in Iran: The Iranian Ministry of Health announced today (Saturday) a general closure in the country for six days, after the country experienced a record death and morbidity following the outbreak of the corona virus delta strain.
According to a health ministry statement, 466 people have died from the corona virus in the past day across Iran and nearly 30,000 cases have been detected in it within the last 24 hours.
The capital Tehran recorded the deadliest day since the plague cows, and probably in the capital's history, when 216 people died from the corona virus.

The closure, which will take effect tomorrow morning, will be reflected in the closure of intercity traffic in the country except for special license holders as well as the closure of all businesses defined as non-essential by.
All the major cities in Tehran are now on the list of red cities as well as 390 from the state districts.
Health experts in the country have expressed outrage over what they see as promiscuity in mosques and prayer sites across the country ahead of the “confiscated” holy month, after videos of worshipers without masks and without keeping distance were circulated on social media.

The public in the country is also angry about the slow immunization process, with less than three percent of the country’s citizens vaccinated against the corona virus. Iran claims to have been able to develop a vaccine for corona disease, but low immunization rates along with minimal purchases of vaccines made in China and Russia have meant that the vast majority of the population is not vaccinated at all.
The official death toll in Iran from the corona plague stands at close to one hundred thousand, but experts believe the true death toll is much higher.
